"Ilha Formosa, Taiwan will touch your heart." As the song keeps going on, people might actually think that Taiwan will touch your heart, but is Taiwan actually "one" nation? Not everyone around the world thinks it is even a nation, certainly, some Taiwanese do not even think it is "a" nation. I went on and contacted a good friend of my grandma, named "Dai-Yi" He got that really white beard that he never shaved, that bald head which never grow, and that " fish-tail print" which would be a print that would always chase after those half-moon eyes. I have always wondered how Taiwanese even started speaking Taiwanese. Dai-Yi had spoken Taiwanese as long as Taiwan has lived. He was the first five people that ever spoken Taiwanese. I guess he could be the one person who we called him a Taiwanese dictionary. I asked him to tell me the history of Taiwanese as a language. Dai-Yi spoke up, with that deep voice, "You want me talk Taiwanese's story, I tell for you listen." So, this was the story. Earlier, Taiwanese has two groups, one called "Daiba" one called "Gahyun", they is our now north and south. We not a nation, because we speak "different" word. We only speak Taiwanese, but different accent. We "Diaba" people hoh, is most wealthy. They "Gahyun" people hoh, is poor eh farmers eh la.
