Anglo- Saxon in England




Video Script: The Anglo-Saxon Chronicle is an early record of English history written by England's ruler Alfred the Great. It serves as the primary source that historians used to understand the early history of Britain. In the early Britain, people were believed to have came from Spain and Portugal. Later on, the Celts came and conquered Britain. Romans came next. Even though Julius Caesar came to invade, he left and gone to France without conquering Britain. However, Roman emperor Claudius did built camps in Britain, which later became towns. When Roman struggled about the invasion of Italy. The Anglo- Saxon came and settle in England, and they drove out the Britons to Cornwall, Wales, Ireland, and Scotland. Vikings came from Norway and Denmark to invade the British Isles. The Vikings and the Anglo- Saxon finally reached agreement to respect each others' ruling, but when Edward died, the Normans invaded England, and brought the Anglo- Saxon period to an end.
