Direct= NOT FUN

Kenning makes me sound smart, even though maybe I'm not so smart(?)
 Kenning is a way of writing that uses the method of substituting a word with a compound word that is more descriptive, and easier to picture in one's mind. Kenning is usually found in Old English poems. When the poet uses kenning in their poems, the reader can get more details about what is going on in the poem with the descriptive compound word that is created through the method of kenning, instead a single word that does not bring the exact meaning and/or picture to the reader.
